WORSHIP
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1
Worship. Missions. Missions. Worship. The historymakers flame is a missions flame. Hopefully, it's a flame that burns brightly in your heart! We want to fuel that flame, to do all we can to ignite passion in your heart… passion for Jesus Christ.
Worship is that fuel. Singing songs in church, praising God in our congregations or worship concerts is just a small part of worship. Your life, our lives - dedicated unto the Lord. He wants our whole lives to be an act of worship!
The world needs changing, more importantly… God wants to change it! His all-consuming passion is for His own glory-the praise of the peoples of earth; not just a few here and there but ALL peoples! The name of God will be glorified, exalted, made famous.
Through Jesus Christ people can worship God in spirit and in truth. There is no other way. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? (Romans 10:14-15) All over this world, people have still never heard of Jesus Christ. Whether a Buddhist monk in Laos or a nomad in Mongolia, people are still in the dark - perpetual darkness. There is also a generation in the west that have never heard of Him. They are right here on our doorsteps.
We know Jesus is the light of the world and wants to shine into the hearts and lives of these people living in perpetual darkness. A historymaker, burning brightly with the missions flame, will take this light into the world. Does your heart burn within you for Jesus?--Can you say along with Jeremiah "But if I say, "I will not mention him or speak any more in his name," his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot" (Jeremiah 20:9)
His greatest desire is not just for people to be saved but that people all over the planet be saved to appreciate His astonishing majesty and to worship Him! Make a difference! Let your life be an act of worship. Let worship be the fuel for mission's flame.
