Bible-couriers return safely from SE Asia

A few weeks ago, three AsiaLink teams from the USA and UK arrived home safely having carried in much needed literature to two restricted access nations. At the core of this trip was the delivery of Bibles as production of God’s Word is outlawed outside of registered churches in these countries. The house churches are growing quickly and the need for the Word and teaching material is urgent. Let’s continue to pray for the harvest field in SE Asia.

Beautiful Feet Video Project

Across the Himalayas there are hundreds of unreached tribes. People living in remote villages without any access to the gospel. Our initiative is to partner with Asian believers and help them to take the gospel to these areas. Bishnu is one such worker who we support and who spends his time printing and distributing tracts in places you’ve never heard of and will probably never get to. This video project highlights three people groups who also represent Buddhism, Hinduism and Animism and it offers Paul’s solution to the problem of how people will hear and believe: the church must send. Videos are great mobilization tools so please take time to watch and share with your friends. The Gospel Coalition have already embedded this video on their blog.

No-Entry

North Korea is the most closed nation on the planet and is desperately in need of God’s light to shine. The policy in this hermit nation is no-one gets in and no-one gets out. In January 2012 we're helping to facilitate the sending of two workers to the border of N.Korea to minister alongside our long-term partners. Please pray for safe traveling mercies and fruitful kingdom-building in and around N.Korea.

Short-term 2012

We’ll be running three trips in July and August next summer. In the Himalayas we’ll be ministering alongside Bishnu whom you can watch at work in our Beautiful Feet Video. The second team will travel to the border of Thailand and Burma to minister to refugees caught up in ethnic genocide. The final team will deliver Bibles into two countries in south-east Asia as well as some local evangelism in Bangkok. If you’re interested, please email us and we’ll get the app-forms to you in January.

Work in Progress

Also known as Myanmar, Burma is ruled by a military junta which suppresses anyone who opposes their regime and wields absolute power in the face of international condemnation and sanctions. The generals and the army stand accused of gross human rights abuses, including the forcible relocation of civilians, genocide and the widespread use of forced labour, which includes children. Please remember to pray for one of our staff members and a pastor and his wife from Scotland who have journeyed to Burma this week to help teach in a small Bible college. Despite the grim reality of this volatile nation, God is building his church and young men and women are being trained to plant churches where people have never heard of Jesus.

Wilderness & Wolves

In Mongolia, the capital, Ulan Bator has seen some strong church growth since the early 1990s when the country opened up. There are over 200 churches there now. It's a different story outside the city. The country is enormous and rural areas are largely unreached. It’s a vast and barren nation. You can journey for hundreds of miles and not see a single soul or building but you might bump into some eagles or wolves! Such was the experience of some AsiaLink workers who spent a good chunk of November visiting ministry in the remote western plains. Pray for God's blessing on this ministry to the remote tribes.

I have written a book "The Chinese in God's Land". The aim of this book is to tell the people in China to look back to historical time say when ancestors in China started to record the God they believed. You can view some highlights done in a video parked at Youtube. Click paifamily for it. The book is available at amazon or rosedogbookstore.com God bless you ministry.

To bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ - Ephesians 1:10
