There are actually 684 commands in the New Testament! However, to gain an overall grasp of the commands of Scripture, they could be condensed into six generic commands;

  1. Repent and Believe (Confess, forsake, fear God, follow, be born again, 
receive the Holy Spirit, trust).
  2. Be Baptized.
  3. Love (God, your neighbour, giving to the poor, helping orphans, widows, forgiving, kindness, mercy, sacrifice, encourage, deny yourselves, minister, serve, judge not).
  4. Pray.
  5. Communion (Remember Christ’s death on our behalf through the breaking of bread, gathering together, fellowship with other believers).
  6. Make Disciples (Teach, preach the Gospel, witness, evangelize, plant churches).
